Bandera's population is 957 and loaded with characters. It's somewhat secluded, about a 35 mile drive out of San Antonio into the Hill Country.  We have five annual parades, many festivals (check our Events calendar), three rodeos, a lot of  quaint B&B's and RV parks to choose from.  Five live music venues are open daily!  Bandera is located on The Medina River, so toobin' or swinging from a rope is always fun in the summertime.  Steak night is every Wednesday...stop by the Super S grocery store, grab a steak, and join the rest of the town around the grills at Eleventh Street Cowboy Bar.  Listen to live music, have a cold one, and enjoy the local color!
